VOTING INFORMATION

  • Offices on the Ballot: U.S. Senate, U.S. Rep, State Executives, State Supreme & Intermediate Courts, and other local offices.

  • Can you register to vote online? Yes. 

  • Age Requirement to Register to Vote:17 Years Old 

  • Check your voter registration status

  • Polls Open at 6 AM and close at 8 PM. As long as you are in line by 7 PM, you will be able to vote.

 primary election: â€‹

  • Note: Louisiana does not conduct conventional primary elections. Instead, all candidates running for a local, state, or federal office appear on the same ballot in October (during odd-numbered years) or November (during even-numbered years). If no candidate wins a simple majority, the top two finishers advance to a run-off election that is held in December.

 general election: 

  • Last Day to Register to Vote: October 11th

  • Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot: November 4th

  • Early Voting: October 25th – November 1st â€‹

  • Election Day: November 8th
