VOTING INFORMATION

  • Offices on the Ballot: U.S. Senator, Governor, Attorney General, Congress members, State Legislators

  • Can you register to vote online? Yes 

  • Age Requirement to Register to Vote: Must be 18 years old on or before next election

  • Polls Open at 5-10AM and close at 7PM. As long as you are in line by 7PM, you will be able to vote.  â€‹

  • Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot: Online by July 20th or at Clerk's Office by August 8th

  • Early Voting: June 25th – August 8th

  • Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot: Online by October 19th or at Clerk's Office by November 7th

RESTRICTIONS

Vermont is one of the leaders when it comes to voting rights for all. Even the current Republican Governor has agreed to expand voting rights. 

IMPACT ON 
STUDENT VOTERS

Vermont is a great state for students to make their voices heard, with no ID requirement, 45 days of early voting, and same day voter registration it is without question that students in Vermont can make their voices heard.
